Concentrating mainly on drawing and painting, Marie-Ève draws her influences from many artistic currents and is inspired by her personal experiences as well as the current world. Motivated by a quest for meaning, her work is situated somewhere between abstraction and figuration. In an attempt to question and reclaim the image of women in art history as well as in today's society, she often uses autobiography and autofiction as a starting point to explore complex issues.

Valuing both the process of image creation and the final image, she attempts in each painting to preserve the first strokes and moments of inconsistency, revealing the anatomy of her painting.
